📄 Image slot — detailed festival entries with event descriptions on a calendar.
The month-list names the festivals; this page says what each one actually is.
The detail
- The January anchor: the Camel Festival’s full three-day shape.
- The autumn anchor: the Kolayat fair’s pilgrimage-plus-market structure.
- The temple layer: the circuits during Gangaur, Janmashtami and Diwali, the city at worship, visitors at the edges.
The detail by festival: the Camel Festival (January) runs two-to-three days of parades, races and folk evenings at the city grounds, free entry, arrive early for stands. The Kolayat fair (Kartik Purnima, Oct-Nov by the lunar calendar) is a pilgrimage with trading stalls, the ghat lamps at night are the signature scene. The temple festivals (Gangaur in March-April, Diwali in Oct-Nov) fill the city shrines, visitor-observable, never staged. All lunar-tied dates shift yearly, check the current notice before booking rooms.
