📄 Image slot — ana sagar baradari marble pavilions with gardens and lake water edge.

The marble baradari at Ana Sagar is a set of 17th-century pavilions standing in the lake itself, built under the Mughals and still the most photographed structure on the water. Shah Jahan is the patron most accounts name, which fits the marble quality. Reports consistently place the best hour at sunset, when the low light warms the stone and the reflection frames work from the embankment, and the flat Daulat Bagh approach makes the whole circuit walkable for every age group.

The marble baradari is what gives Ana Sagar’s shoreline its character.

Evenings belong to the baradari: the pavilions and the Daulat Bagh lawns fill at sunset with families and snack vendors, and the marble catches the low light better than any monument timing allows. It is Ajmer’s most democratic monument, and everyone uses it, daily.
