The best time to visit Ajmer is October to March, when days are cool enough for the fort climb and evenings are comfortable on the lake. Reports put winter daytime temperatures roughly in the low twenties Celsius, with December and January the busiest and priciest months and February described as the sweet spot once the crowds thin. April to June is punishing heat that compresses sightseeing to short mornings, and the July to September monsoon fills the lake but softens the hill tracks. The Urs overrides all of it whenever it falls.
Ajmer follows the standard Rajasthan rhythm: cool winters, punishing summers and a green, humid monsoon.
| Window | Weather | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Oct-Mar | Cool, comfortable | Main season |
| Apr-Jun | Very hot | Short mornings |
| Jul-Sep | Monsoon | Humid, green |
One exception overrides the table: the Urs draws pilgrims in any season, and every hotel room with them.
