Jaisalmer’s headline sightseeing runs west to the dunes; the northern day runs up the Jodhpur highway, and it is the better pick for a second desert day.

The day, in order

  1. Pokaran, about 110 km: the fort museum, Domi Mata temple, lunch at the highway stalls.
  2. Ramdevra, 12 km further: the Ramdev Pir samadhi — shoes off, an unhurried hour, free.
  3. Return by evening, or try the train loop: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur trains stop at both Pokaran and Ramdevra stations, though timings rarely allow both stops plus the fort in one day.

Honest note: this is a long, quiet day — about 240 km of driving. Worth it for the syncretic shrine and the fort; skippable on a first two-night visit.
