Bada Bagh is Jaisalmer’s garden of kings — a hillside of royal cenotaphs (chhatris) overlooking wind turbines and scrub, built from the 1500s onward for the Maharawals of Jaisalmer. At sunset the sandstone memorials glow amber against the sky, and it is the quietest spectacular frame in the city’s orbit.
