Jodhpur is an underrated honeymoon city, and that’s its charm: palace nights and rooftop dinners without Udaipur’s crowds or Jaipur’s traffic. The formula is simple — one palace night, one haveli night, blue lanes, desert evening, and a photographer who knows the light. Here’s the build.
The four-night honeymoon build
- Night 1 — the palace. Umaid Bhawan Palace (Taj): the once-in-a-lifetime address, the spa, dinner in the palace wing. Open the trip at its ceiling.
- Nights 2–3 — the heritage haveli. Move into the old city: a fort-view haveli room (Pal Haveli tier), days wandering the blue lanes and the stepwell, evenings on the rooftops with the fort floodlit.
- Night 4 — the desert evening. An Osian sunset camel ride with a desert-camp dinner, or the Sardar Samand terrace if camp nights aren’t your style (see the lake-palace guide).

When to go
November to February. The winter light flatters everything, evenings are made for shawls-and-rooftops, and the cold is romantic rather than punishing (pack layers; see the December guide). Book rooms and the photographers months ahead — winter is everyone’s honeymoon season.
