Delhi to Pushkar is a 6-to-10-hour journey by train, bus or flight-plus-road, and the train via Ajmer is the option most travellers settle on.
This page expands the Delhi transport guide with every mode, route and transfer.

The advice: the Ajmer station is the practical rail hub, since Pushkar’s own station has limited services.
Each mode has a clear profile. The train runs Delhi to Ajmer in six to seven hours, then a thirty-minute taxi finishes the trip, and the comfort-per-rupee makes it the default. The bus covers the route directly or via Ajmer in eight to ten hours including overnight options, which wins on schedule efficiency if not on sleep. Flying to Jaipur then driving 145 km trades cost for time and only wins when fares are low and the road timing cooperates. Whatever the mode, Ajmer is the practical rail hub, since Pushkar’s own station sees limited services.
