This page sets the queue by the calendar.
The timing
- Mondays: the Shiva day brings the heaviest weekly lines at the shrine.
- Shravan month: the monsoon wave, the peak the seasons guide tracks.
- The calm slot runs on weekday afternoons, which the architecture rewards.
The queue at Eklingji follows the temple’s ritual clock, and the reports read it season by season. Ordinary weekdays move steadily, with the morning aarti hours the busiest stretch and the mid-morning lull the reported sweet spot for a calm darshan. Mondays and the festival calendar multiply the line, with the Shravan weeks the reported maximum and the queue itself becoming part of the experience, moving through the outer corridors in a slow, chanting stream. The practical points repeat: leather and phones left outside or with companions, footwear at the stands, and the temple guide’s darshan timings checked the day before, because the ritual schedule shifts with the calendar in ways notices only half explain.
