📄 Image slot: small shrines tucked between ghats along the lakeside walk.

The ghat walk passes a dozen shrines, and the named list is shorter than you would think: two anchors, one temple inland, one hill shrine, and a layer of small street shrines. The big two are the anchors: the Jagdish temple above, its steps rising from the ghat line’s northern end, and the Ambrai-side shrine across the water, the pair between which every evening lamp ceremony on the strip happens. The named temple inland is Ambamata, on the lake’s southern shore, the goddess shrine the lake is in part dedicated to, its Navratri the fullest expression of the shrine’s year. The hill shrine is Neemach Mata, over on Fateh Sagar’s eastern shore, technically a second lake’s shrine but part of the same worship geography the lakeside walk belongs to. The small layer completes the count: the street-corner Hanumans, the lakeside Devi niches and the pipal-tree platforms, unnamed and constant, with etiquette identical at every scale, shoes off, quiet voice, camera by permission. Walk the three-lakes route and every item on this list presents itself in order.
